Micro-Organism - Re-Vamped xD

This is my 3rd and final 3D stamp idea, if you have seen my older post you may see a similarity, but with this one I decided to use my new skill's to further improve on my older post's and
created this:-
Using the same material but changing it to make it look slightly darker I achived the image shown above, to get the micro organism sphere shape's doing excacly the same as my older post's used a geo-sphere then extruded different polygon's to get the "tentacles"
I aimed for the scene of the micro-organism's bouncing down the hill, which after a while I achieved, to get the hill I simply selected a large portain of the plane and using soft selection and moved it upwards, I then applied a larger version of the material used on the sphere's to the plane to make the comparisan more notciable.
I did also mess around with colour's but after asking a few people they all agreed that the negative affect has the best impact.
For extra info read my older post on the micro-organism's

Walrus

This is my final 2nd choice for a stamp for 3DSMAX I decided to go for a bigger animal then a crab and chose a walrus, this was very simple to make.

To begin with I started with a cylinder and soft selected and extruded to get the main body of the walrus, I then added a material which was from a picture of the internet and used that as diffuse map, i added a bump map - noise to get a better skin texture , I also converted it from a standard material to top and bottom to give the walrus a "mane" I also added two slits were the eyes would go.

The flippers were created buy extruding polygon's at the back and side of the body and different angles and adding a small bend modifier to each one, Turbosmooth applied and got the final picture.

Here is the body of the walrus with the skin texture added:-

For the walrus's eyes I created another two sphere's to fill the slits on the walrus's head, and applied the same material used before, I then created the eye ball buy created a black sphere with a smaller white sphere in the middle of it, I applied a raytrace o each one and fiddled with the specular leval to give them a small shine.

Here is my walrus's eyeball:-

After the eyes were complete I then had to create the tusk, this was simply done buy creating a cone and making it smaller on one end then the other, I then applied a bend modifier to created a tusk that bent round the front of the body, Then I added another image of the internet of ivory added a bump modifier and cloned it to create two tusk's, these were then placed onto the walrus.

These are the tusk's:-

For the scenery iI created it the excactly the same way I did for the crab, so for information on this scroll down to the crab blog post, the only difference was I used more lights, and different jpeg image for the background cloud's, for the cliff in the background I applied a block that had been modified buy soft selection to give it a more coastal cliff look.
